ALERT: DONT MOVE FIREWOOD!!!

Be on the lookout for the Emerald Ash Borer. This pest lives within the wood, tunnels & feeds on it and destroys Ash trees. The State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has stated that we cannot allow firewood in our campground from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and quarantined counties in Indiana. Moving firewood is the method of travel this pest prefers. It is why it is spreading so fast and destroying ash trees wherever an outbreak is found.

PLEASE NOTE: As of January 1st 2007, we have adopted a policy not to allow any wood for burning onto campground property. This ban includes firewood as well as pallets, building materials, lumber, etc. Wood brought in will be confiscated and burned by campground staff.

Firewood is for sale at the campground. The cost is $3 per bundle.

Caboose Lake is situated on 38 acres in rural farm country of northwest Indiana. It boasts a 20 acre stocked fishing pond. Caboose Lake Campground has modern accommodations for the biggest rigs on the road. There are 115 campsites, all with graveled parking areas and 30/50amp electric, treated softened water, and sewer at each site. There are 44 pull-thrus, 75' long with FHU facilities at each site. The park is on the southeast quandrant of Interstate 65 & US 24, easy off/easy on for big rigs. This campground is perfect for the traveler who needs to stay overnight.
We have clean, heated, handicapped accessible restrooms and laundry facilities open all year. A water treatment system was installed in 2004 for softened water throughout the park. Children and pets are welcome. We have scheduled activities throughout the summer months. Rates are available for overnight, weekly, monthly, and seasonal camping. There is one sleeping cabin if a tent is not for you.
Caboose Lake Campground offers camping, fishing, lake swimming, and boat rentals. The pond is 80 feet deep at the deepest point so we have guidelines with water safety in mind. We have live music, fishing contests, dinners, train rides for children, planned activities throught the summer and a concession stand. Look at the bass picture on our recreation page and check our summer events page for dates.
Since the campground is located in farm country, we have a local Dairy Farm Museum, lots of farm fields to look at and many antique shoppes to visit. There is also a new Monon railroad museum and lots of Mom & Pop restaurants. We are only 20 minutes from Indiana Beach and Monticello, IN.
We are a Good Sam Park offering discounts to all Good Sam members traveling throughout the year. We also offer other discount programs to campers.

Check out the newest addition to our landscape!
